Introduction to Bread Making Wednesday 28th January 2026
Learn how to weigh, shape, prove and bake
This fun and beginners class to bread baking will teach you the principles of bread making, a little bit about the science behind it and how baking can truly be beneficial for your wellbeing. You will learn to make a simple loaf, bread rolls and pittas!
10am - 1pm
Introduction to the joy of baking & eating Real Bread:
You will have a warm welcome to Kitty Witch Bakehouse. Situated in Paula’s garden you will start your morning off with a fresh coffee or tea and a little homemade treat before embarking on this enjoyable, fun and knowledgeable day of all things bread making. Answering any personal questions you have along the way
10am: Welcome and an introduction to the benefits of Real Bread and why baking is so much more than making a loaf
10:30am: Learning to weigh, mix and knead. Making enough dough to make a loaf and rolls.
11:30am: Understand the diversity of bread making and how to make Pitta breads!
11:45am: Shape & tin loaf and rolls.
12pm: Refreshments.
12:30pm: How to bake bread, how to store bread, how to gain a satisfying crust and much more!
1pm: Take plenty of bread home with a new found passion for bread making and a clearer understanding of the process!
